A premium cocktail-inspired release, centred on a Single Ex-Botrytis French Oak cask, an uncommon vessel where noble rot once concentrated sweetness, acidity, and perfume. The result is a single cask, cask-strength single malt that carries both opulence and restraint: honeyed fruit richness held in tension by lifted citrus brightness and oak spice. It is whisky designed not simply to sip, but to frame a perfect Whisky Sour, where balance is everything.

From this solitary cask comes a spirit with natural equilibrium. Golden apricot, candied lemon peel, and soft marmalade depth woven through fine French Oak tannin. The Botrytis influence lends a silken, nectar-like weight, while the whisky’s brightness cuts cleanly through the richness, creating the precise balance a great Whisky Sour demands.

For the ritual: shake fresh lemon juice and sugar with ice, pour the botrytis-cask whisky, and crown with a silky foam. A few drops of orange bitters settle into the surface like dusk on citrus blossom. Garnish with a thin lemon twist or a whisper of dehydrated apricot, letting the finish unfold in layers of honeyed stone fruit, bright citrus oils, and gentle oak spice.
