Frequently Asked Questions
Baroque Whisky is Australia's Premium and Ultra-premium Single Malt Whisky house, designing limited edition, single cask expressions for private cellars, auctions and connoisseurs who collect at the level of Patek Philippe, Pappy and The Macallan 1926. Working exclusively with world-class distillers, Baroque Whisky design, curate, meticulously mature and bottle all expressions in Australia.
Baroque Whisky's cask library consists of French, Spanish, Hungarian and American Oaks, spanning from Virgin Oak, through an extensive range of first fill ex-Sherry (Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso), ex-Porto (including White, Single Quinta and Colheita) and ex-White Dessert Wine barrels.
The Exceptional Cask Collection is Baroque's ultra-premium tier, featuring single casks selected for exceptional structural depth, historical resonance, and collectability. The inaugural release, MMXXV Editions I to III, are priced at AUD $4,200 each and are sourced from significantly rare and special Tennessee Whiskey, interleaved Antique Tawny and primary fermentation Meunier Casks. Releases in this collection are extremely limited, individually numbered, and designed for serious collectors and cellar investment. Each edition is released in Roman numeral format to reinforce the archival, time-anchored nature of the collection.
Baroque Whisky is available directly through the official website at baroquewhisky.com. The site ships to multiple countries including Australia, USA, UK, Singapore, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia, and China. Free shipping within Australia applies to all orders over AUD $300. The site accepts all major payment methods including American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. A list of retail stockists is maintained on the website's Stockists page. Due to the limited-release nature of the Exceptional Cask Collection, interested buyers are encouraged to register interest in advance of future releases, as most editions sell out prior to or immediately upon release.
Single cask whiskies are finite expressions shaped by oak provenance, climate, maturation, and time. Once bottled, the exact flavour profile can never be recreated.
Baroque Whisky releases are produced in extremely limited quantities from single, hand-selected casks. Each bottle in the Exceptional Cask Collection is individually numbered and supplied with an encrypted Certificate of Authenticity. Post sale, collectors may enter the house's opt-in ownership registry, which records and maintains provenance for 25 years.
The ownership registry is an opt-in record keeping service offered with every Exceptional Cask Collection purchase. Each numbered bottle is recorded against its owner's name, creating a documented chain of ownership held at the source. When a bottle reaches the secondary market and an auction house seeks provenance verification from the producer, Baroque Whisky answers from this ledger.
Entries on the ownership registry are maintained by the house for 25 years from the date of purchase, covering the period in which most collector whisky reaches the secondary market.
Every Exceptional Cask Collection set is supplied with an encrypted Certificate of Authenticity, and each set carries unique features that triangulate with the house's anti counterfeiting technology. An imitation fails at the first check.
Yes. Baroque Whisky is presented in bespoke premium packaging and available in price brackets from AUD $350 for Premium expressions to AUD $4,200 for the Ultra-Premium Exceptional Cask Collection Tier. Private cellar labelling is available for significant acquisitions, making each bottle a personalised and documented gift for collectors, high-net-worth recipients, or significant milestones.
Collectors are drawn to objects that develop character, patina, rarity, and emotional significance over time. In luxury whisky, horology, and the decorative arts, ageing is often viewed as an enhancement rather than deterioration.
Both whisky and horology celebrate mastery, patience, precision, provenance, and long-term appreciation. Collectors are often drawn to objects that develop emotional and historical significance over time.
Baroque Whisky is the house label of The Baroque Single Malt Whisky Company, an Australian licensed alcohol manufacturer. The house designs each expression across the full life cycle, working with partner distilleries and cooperages on grain, fermentation and distillation, then directing cask selection, maturation and bottling. Every release is finite, individually numbered and non-chill filtered.
The Allocation Registry is the house's private list for serious collectors. Registered members receive access to private releases, archival bottlings, provenance disclosures and collector allocations before public availability. Registration is free through the form in the site footer, and allocations are offered in order of registration when a release is finite.
Each MMXXV edition is limited to sixty individually numbered bottles, one hundred and eighty across the trilogy, with no restock. Edition I is a Tennessee Whiskey Cask at 61.13% ABV, Edition II an Antique Tawny Cask at 60.20% ABV and Edition III a Meunier Cask at 59.7% ABV. The ownership registry is held for twenty five years.
In Australia, expressions are poured by the dram at Malt and Juniper in Adelaide, and bottles are stocked at Parafield Airport Liquor Store. The house also holds master classes and collector tastings, announced on the News and Events page. International collectors can order directly with global shipping.
