Ex-Meunier, French Oak Cask | Jeen Snidvongs, Choeng Doi Distillery
MMXXV Edition III, Meunier French Oak Cask, 59.7% ABV
1st July 2026
Colour: Dark straw.
Nose:
The high ABV is initially apparent, so it benefits from a few minutes in the glass before nosing. Once settled, an intriguing savoury creaminess emerges alongside freshly brewed black tea, restrained red berries, bitter menthol, and fresh mint. With a few drops of water, the mint becomes more pronounced while the tea notes recede, creating a fresher aromatic profile.
Palate:
Dry and structured with restrained sweetness. Red berries lead into black tea and gentle oak, giving the spirit an elegant, almost savoury character. The texture is creamy despite the dryness.
Finish:
Long, dry, and refined. With a few drops of water, the palate becomes noticeably sweeter, while the finish develops an attractive savoury creaminess that complements the lingering red fruit and subtle oak.
