Single Ex-Botrytis French Oak Cask

A finite Australian single cask whisky matured in first-fill French oak previously seasoned with Botrytis dessert wine, built for refined sweetness, elegant oak structure and mouthfeel. Rare dessert wine cask provenance under Australian climate.

Specification

Australian single cask whisky. First-fill French oak, ex-Botrytis dessert wine. Non-chill filtered, natural colour. Sixty bottles worldwide, individually numbered.

Nose

Honeyed apricot, mandarin oil, muscat grapes and yellow melon rise alongside polished French oak, gentle toast and refined dessert wine aromatics. A subtle Armagnac character adds maturity and depth.

Palate

Silken waves of dried grape, orange blossom, honeyed wine sweetness and soft oak spice glide across the palate. The mouthfeel is expansive and luxurious without becoming heavy, with the ABV integrated into the structure.

Finish

Long, elegant and evolving with fading grape sweetness, subtle umami, polished oak oils, warm spice and gentle mineral freshness.

Maturation

Thermal movement inside the barrel intensifies extraction and concentration. In a warm Australian maturation environment, evaporation reduces yield and elevates the sense of finite rarity.

Serving

Best experienced neat. It was also structured to carry a Premium Whisky Sour through citrus integration and balanced sweetness.

International orders are dispatched by international courier, arranged per order, to New Zealand, Singapore and the United Kingdom, with delivery charged at checkout and delivery timeframes varying by destination. Collectors in Canada are supplied through their provincial liquor board, and collectors in the United States through the trade; please contact us before ordering and the house arranges supply. Customers in other regions are invited to contact us prior to ordering and we will arrange delivery wherever regulations permit. Upon completion of a purchase, the customer’s selected payment method will be charged in full, and a receipt displayed on The Baroque Whisky website.

International Deliveries, Duties and Taxes

Prices for delivery outside Australia are shown in your local currency and do not include the import duties, excise, taxes or customs clearance fees of the destination country. These are set by the destination country on the declared value of the whisky, are payable by the recipient to the carrier or customs authority before the parcel is released, and cannot be estimated by the house in advance. A parcel refused at customs, or not collected, is returned to us at the recipient’s cost, and any refund is net of the delivery and return charges.

Alcohol Deliveries Within Australia

Baroque Whisky is a trading name of The Bond Store Pty Ltd, an alcohol manufacturer licensed by the Australian Taxation Office and holder of South Australian liquor licence 57712323 (Packaged Liquor Sales) under the Liquor Licensing Act 1997 (SA). Every delivery within Australia is made in accordance with that Act and with the liquor laws of the state or territory of delivery.

Orders may be placed only by a person aged 18 years or over, and only for delivery to a person aged 18 years or over, including orders sent as gifts. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years.

Every parcel is handed to an adult. The person accepting the delivery may be asked to sign a declaration that they are 18 years or over, or to show an Australian driver’s licence, an Australian proof of age card, a passport or a photographic keypass identification card. If no person aged 18 years or over is available, or proof of age is requested and not produced, the parcel will not be left and the carrier will arrange redelivery or collection.

Alcohol is never left unattended. Every parcel requires a signature on delivery, and the carrier is instructed not to leave it in a safe place.

We will not supply alcohol to a person who appears to be intoxicated, and a delivery may be withheld in that case. We do not deliver to any area where the sale, supply or possession of alcohol is prohibited or restricted by law, including declared dry areas and alcohol protected areas.

We may refuse or cancel an order, with a full refund, where we reasonably believe it has been placed by or for a person under 18 years, or that supplying it would breach the liquor laws of the state or territory of delivery.

Refund and Return Policy

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to choose a refund or replacement for any major failure with our products, or have the failure rectified with a replacement, repair or refund (at our discretion).
