The Baroque Single Malt Whisky Company’s Premium Range introduces three single-cask releases, each crafted with quiet confidence rather than lavish showmanship. This expression was matured in an ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry Spanish Oak cask and stands out for its sense of balance and its more Japanese-leaning whiskey style. It is a whisky clearly shaped with intention, offering richness without tipping into excess.

The nose opens gently, presenting a measured combination of cinnamon, orange, and soft honey. These aromas sit atop a subtle maltiness that feels reminiscent of older sherry casks rather than bolder modern interpretations. There is a spicy thread throughout, supported by the natural sweetness of PX seasoning, but everything remains in harmony, no single note pushes too far forward. A faint lemony lift brightens the aroma, adding nuance without breaking the overall warmth.

On the palate, the whisky begins with familiar sherry-cask flavours of caramel, gentle spice, and dried citrus peel, yet the Spanish oak influence brings additional structure. The malt character remains clearly visible, keeping the whisky grounded and preventing the PX sweetness from dominating. Cinnamon returns with more definition, joined by orange oil and a soft wave of honeyed richness. The ABV contributes helpful vitality, offering energy and length rather than heat for its own sake.

Our Single Spanish Oak ex Pedro Ximenez sherry cask, bottled at a natural strength of 51.7% ABV provides a structure and sweetness intentionally aligned to the Manhattan, where the sherry-derived depth integrates seamlessly with Antica sweet vermouth, Angostura and orange bitters, and a maraschino cherry, creating cohesion rather than competition.

Each Premium Series expression is non-chill filtered, hand-bottled without colouring, individually numbered, and limited to just 60 bottles. Once released, these expressions will not be repeated.

Upon completion of a purchase, the customer’s selected payment method will be charged in full, and a receipt displayed on The Baroque Whisky website. A copy of the above mentioned receipt will also be emailed to the customer.

We use a range of shipping providers depending on your location around Australia, the shipping provider of choice may change. Upon completion of your order, we will send your order details along with the shipping provider number and any tracking information if applicable.

Baroque Whisky can only ship to addresses in Australia via Australia Post. Overseas customers are encouraged to make contact with us, regarding overseas shipments, using the Contact-Us form.

On average, we expect that you will receive your Baroque Whisky order within 5-7 business days.

Refund and Return Policy
